November News 2025

Welcome to the November Edition of Instinctively Curious
As we edge toward the end of 2025, the pace is picking up here at Two Hands!
Between the vines, cellar, and events calendar, there’s a buzz of excitement as we prepare to wrap up another incredible year. With Black Friday deals just around the corner, 2025 The Boy Riesling now released, and the Sunset on Seppeltsfield Road event tomorrow, there’s plenty to raise a glass to!
IN THE VINEYARD
Flowering is about to begin, with the vines in great health after some recent rain. With the thunderstorms and lightning last week releasing nitrogen in the air the vines certainly have that burst of vibrant green.

Right now, Lara is out across our blocks each morning, checking the spring shoot growth and keeping a close eye on the leaves. This is the time when we’re looking for the earliest signs of anything that could go wrong: tiny blemishes, colour changes, unusual spotting or curling, all the subtle indicators that might hint at a nutrient imbalance. It’s meticulous work. Lara collects leaf samples and brings them back for Peter to assess. By catching even the smallest issues early, we can get ahead of them.

With the spring rain showers rolling through, it’s also a crucial time to ensure the protective sprays we apply are doing their job. After every rain event, the team double checks coverage across the canopy, making sure the vines still have the right level of protection.
We also welcomed another new addition to the Two Hands family, a beautiful grey Highland calf named Pearl. She’s already found her place among the herd.
IN THE WINERY
While the vineyard team look ahead to next year’s fruit, the winery team are already preparing for Vintage 2026.
AT CELLAR DOOR
Earlier this month, our team hosted a long lunch for twenty US guests at our Holy Grail vineyard. While the weather wasn't exactly on our side, our visitors, many of whom had been enjoying Two Hands wines in the USA for years, enjoyed the wines and the wonderful views from Holy Grail.

If you haven’t yet visited us in spring, it’s a stunning time to do so. The lawns are lush, the vines are humming, and there’s no better place to enjoy a glass of wine and watch the world go by at Cellar Door. With the busy season almost here we always recommend a booking, just to make sure you don't miss out on a table on the deck on that sunny day. To book your preferred tasting experience head to the Cellar Door page.
SUNSET ON SEPPELTSFIELD ROAD
Friday 21st November 2025
One of the most anticipated evenings of the year is here! Sunset on Seppeltsfield Road is an amazing opportunity to have dinner with a glass of wine on the iconic stretch of road as its closed to all traffic and set up with 30 vendors for a big street party. We’ll be there with both our Defender and Brutus Van on the road, pouring our wines.

Tickets are down to the last handful, this event will sell out. So if you haven’t secured yours yet, now’s the time. This event will become part of the annual calendar for the Barossa, so if you miss out this year, there is always 2026!
BLACK FRIDAY IS COMING
Keep an eye on your inbox next week for our Black Friday online offers with two mystery packs containing a variety of vintages and styles available, plus deals on some of your favourite wines and Two Hands merchandise! Available for a very limited time only. It’s the perfect chance to stock the cellar (and perhaps sneak a few gifts in early).

ON THE ROAD WITH PIERRE-HENRI
Pierre has swapped Seppeltsfield Road for Shanghai traffic this month. He’s currently in China visiting some of our key trade partners, hosting tastings and events. These trips are an important part of keeping our international markets connected to what’s happening back home.
In other exciting news, if you’re flying with British Airways in the coming months, keep an eye on the in flight wine list. Pierre has just signed the contract with them, so you might spot a familiar Two Hands label at 30,000 feet.
WINE OF THE MONTH
2025 THE BOY RIESLING
Freshly released! From the cool, high slopes of Eden Valley comes 2025 The Boy Riesling.

Produced from 110-year-old vines, The Boy captures the purity, precision, and fragrance that make Eden Valley such a special place for Riesling. It’s an elegant nod to the history of the region and one of our most loved whites, a perfect way to welcome summer.
WHAT ARE TEAM THW DRINKING AT THE MOMENT?
As we get closer to the end of the year, members of the team are reaching for:
- The new 2025 Trusty Rusty Rose! Might we run out before Summer begins?
- Yacca Block - It’s hitting that perfect early release window where power and purity collide. The 2022 vintage is showing beautifully defined fruit, that signature edge from the Eden soils, and a line of tannin that feels firm but completely approachable. It’s plush without being heavy. A winter into summer transition wine that still feels special on a any night.
- Brave Faces - This is the perfect blend when it is still Winter, Spring and Summer all in one day here in SA. Vibrant, red fruited, medium bodied, and just ridiculously versatile. Chillable if needed, complex if you want it to be, and effortlessly crowd-pleasing.
After completing school in 2019, Harry pursued his passion for mechanics with a Certificate III in Vehicle Mechanical Technology. He has since applied his skills in the wine industry joining us in 2024 as our new Cellar Hand. Outside of work, Harry is an avid footy enthusiast, proudly playing for the Nuri Tigers and cheering on Collingwood in the AFL (winning our tipping comp right out of the gate!). When he’s not on the field, you’ll find him unwinding with camping and fishing trips.
Why do you like the wine industry?
I like that every new season it means we begin again and the year presents its own challenges and rewards.
What have you learnt from Richard?
Don't eat potatos... Seriously? Everything, experience is key and remember to read and listen to things.
