Discover Two Hands Wines and our stories with a selection of structured seated wine tastings at our Cellar Door.

Located at 273 Neldner Road, Marananga, just off the the amazingly historic Seppeltsfield Road in the heart of the Barossa, our cellar door is a beautifully restored late 19th century stone cottage, ‘Kraehe House’. With the adjoining original bakehouse and cellar renovated to be an amazing space now used for our Private Tasting Experiences and Vineyard Experience Tours. The cellar has been converted to a beautiful museum wine cellar.

Our passionate team will expertly navigate you through the stories and secrets of the wines that define our portfolio with a particular focus on Shiraz. Throughout Summer, where weather permits, enjoy a tasting flight on the stunning sun-filled deck enjoying the wonderful mural created by talented Adelaide artist Lucinda Penn. In the cooler months, stay cosy inside and soak up the warmth of the open fireplace. Frequently Asked Questions

What is your maximum group size?

Due to the intimate size of our Cellar Door, 'Kraehe House', our maximum group size is six guests per table.

This allows our team to provide the relaxed, personal tasting experience Two Hands is known for.
Which is the best experience for first time visitors?

If it is your first time visiting our Cellar Door we recommend the Pride & Place tasting experience. This $15p.p tasting includes wines from across the Two Hands range and has something for everybody.
Can we sit outside?

Enjoy your tasting flight on our Cellar Door deck, with umbrellas providing plenty of shade while you take in the surrounding gardens and vineyard.

Our deck is open for tastings whenever the weather allows. For the comfort and safety of our guests, outdoor tastings will be unavailable during rain, strong winds or on days when temperatures exceed 35°C.

Prefer to settle in with a glass? Our courtyard gardens are also open for wines by the glass, the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a little more time at Two Hands.
Do you have a restaurant?

Sadly we do not, but over the warmer months our courtyard and lawns are perfect for drinks and cheese plates on weekends.

For beautiful full lunches we recommend our neighbours Fino Seppeltsfield or The Eatery at Maggie Beer. Along with the highly anticipated new Staguni and Canteen which can be found 100m down the road from our Cellar Door on the corner of Neldner Road in the Maranaga School.
Can I visit without a booking?

Absolutely, walk-ins are always welcome. 

However, we do recommend booking ahead, particularly on weekends and during busy periods like the summer holidays.

There are times when all our tasting tables are full, and we hate having to turn guests away or ask you to wait or return later.

If you’re planning a last-minute visit, a quick call to our Cellar Door team on 08 8568 7908 is always appreciated. We can let you know what availability looks like or set up your table in advance to ensure you receive the best possible experience when you arrive.
Is Two Hands dog friendly?

Yes! Team Two Hands are very dog friendly, after all, we have four winery dogs of our own.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome to join you, provided they remain on a leash and are comfortable around other guests and dogs.

Our outdoor deck is a great option for enjoying your tasting with your four-legged companion. We also have two tables at the front of Kraehe House, tucked beneath the verandah and protected from the weather, so your dog can stay right by your side.

Just let our Cellar Door team know you’re bringing a dog when booking and we’ll do our best to find the perfect spot for you both.
Can we meet your Scottish Highlander Cows?

Yes! We have just completed a lovely nature trail at our Cellar Door. Stop by for a tasting and check with the team how you can meet Clementine and Cleo.

Summer

December, January & February

Daytime: 26°C–34°C

  • Harvest is getting close, we start to see fruit on Kraehe Block next to Cellar Door
  • The lawns and courtyard are perfect for wines by the glass
  • Lawn games for kids to play or cheese plates available with your tasting

March, April & May

  • Vintage is in full swing, enjoy a tasting on the deck and watch the winery team crushing the fruit
  • The vineyards start to turn a vibrant tapestry of autumn oranges
