MEET THE TEAM
The secret to the success of Two Hands lies with our dedicated team of hard-working professionals who uphold the ethos of ‘quality over compromise’.

Michael Twelftree
Proprietor
Michael came to the wine industry from a construction background after developing his passion over many years attending wine tastings and founded Two Hands Wines in 1999. Michael has a well-known love for all wine and he spends many weeks a year travelling to taste some of the greatest wines from the most revered wine regions of the globe, adding to his personal (and impressive) cellar along the way. From day one, Michael’s role has been multifaceted and with a flair for marketing and creativity, Michael is behind the names of the wines that are now well known to many households around the globe.

Pierre-Henri Morel
Proprietor & General Manager
Pierre-Henri has a true passion for food, wine and the great terroirs of the world, from his native Rhone Valley all the way to the Barossa Valley. After 13 years at M. Chapoutier in Ermitage, he joined Two Hands Wines in early 2014 as Sales & Marketing Director before being promoted to the role of General Manager in 2017. In 2022, Pierre-Henri became Co-Proprietor of Two Hands and is now overseeing all areas of Two Hands’ operation, whilst remaining the main point of contact for sales and distribution as our presence across the globe continues to expand beyond the 69 countries you can find Two Hands in 2025.

Richard Langford
Chief Winemaker
2018 Barossa Winemaker of the Year! Richard joined Two Hands in July 2019 and came with high praise from many present and past Barossa Winemakers. He has worked in the Barossa, Rutherglen, Hunter Valley, Mudgee and the South of France. Richard has a proven ability to work with viticulturists to ensure that quality begins and occurs in the vineyard. When not in the winery, you can find him enjoying the spoils of the great outdoors – fishing, bushwalking & camping with friends and family.

Peter Raymond
Viticulture Manager
Peter joined the wine industry in 1997 after studying a Bachelor of Applied Science in Viticulture at CSU Wagga Wagga. He moved to the Barossa in 1999 and spent years on the ground working in some of the Barossa’s best vineyards and establishing new vineyards in Clare and the Barossa. He has previously worked for Brown Brother’s in Victoria as grape supply manager, has been a lecturer for TafeSA in viticulture, owned his own consulting business, and recently before joining our team was Viticultural Manager for Accolade Wines in the Barossa.

Luke Willis
DTC Manager
Luke is originally from Tassie and began his journey in the wine industry with Moorilla Estate in 1997. He lived and worked in Japan for about 3 years before coming back to Aus and moving to Barossa in 2005 with Rockford Wines after completing Bachelor Wine Marketing. He is father of two teenage daughters who he claims are much smarter than him and husband to a patient wife. He spend his weekends playing guitar and listening to loud, heavy music. With his best memory, hanging out with Metallica and giving them some great Barossa wine, of course.

Anthony Felt
Production Manager
Anthony grew up in Adelaide. His career in logistics started in Dampier and then Melbourne working in the Maritime industry. A passion for food and wine led Anthony and his family to the Barossa in 2011 where he has worked in wine production and logistics ever since, being with Kaesler for 10 years before joining team Two Hands. He’s a keen gardener growing most of the vegetables that his family eats. He also loves the challenge of cooking the perfect steak on the BBQ, pairing it with bruschetta made from his tomatoes and a Barossa red!

Anthony Evans
Chief Financial Officer
Anthony came to Two Hands Wines as the Chief Financial Officer in early 2017. Although new to the Wine Industry, Anthony brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in accounting across a variety of industries. A devoted father of two children, Anthony is ambidextrous and a mad Adelaide 36ers supporter, and most weekends you can find him by the basketball court cheering on his kids!

Kevin Eckert
Assistant Accountant
New to the wine industry but heavily experienced in accounting, Kevin joined Two Hands in July 2016. From the engineering and recruitment accounting fields, Kevin wanted to further challenge himself whilst becoming involved in the lifestyle of the Barossa Valley. Kevin prides himself on his sense of humour and always brings a laugh to the workplace.

Julie Elverd
Finance Officer
Julie grew up in Williamstown, and has lived close to Barossa region ever since. She has worked in finance for over 35 years in all kinds of industries; light manufacturing, food manufacturing/processing, retail & wine to name a few. Noting that when she started her career, the technology of the time was Telex Machines, DOS and 9 inch floppy disks (and they were actually floppy!). On her days off you can find her spending time with her two sons, reading, camping, watching some Aussie movies & travelling where possible.

Irene Iuliani
Sales Administrator
Born and raised in an Italian family in the South East region of South Australia, Irene has always understood the importance of good food and wine. This upbringing played an integral role in Irene starting a career in the wine industry, which has spanned 30+ years prior to her joining the team at Two Hands. In addition to her time in Coonawarra, Irene has also enjoyed working across several famous wine regions, including Clare Valley, Adelaide Hills and the Barossa Valley. Outside of the office, Irene can be found laughing with friends and family over a nice glass of wine and a platter of some locally sourced food.

Morgan Dunemann
Marketing Manager
Morgan is a country SA native, growing up in the spectacular Flinders Ranges. She’s studied Media and Communications with a specialisation in travel and tourism. She is our resident green thumb and specialist in succulents having a large collection that almost equals her vast collection of vinyl records. Morgan is also an avid royal watcher and is an expert in all things QEII and wishes Cody Rhodes & Rhea Ripley were her neighbours. Morgan’s attention to detail and friendly and quirky personality keeps the Two Hands team always entertained and on our toes.

Jett De Ruiter
Assistant Winemaker
Having studied at the University of Adelaide Jett holds a Bachelor of Viticulture and Oenology. He has completed 4 vintages here in the Barossa Valley along with travelling the world working for other wineries in Wilamette Valley, Oregon USA, Okanagan, B.C Canada (2) and Central Otago, New Zealand. Raised in the Barossa Valley, on his days off you will find him camping or cooking. His love of food instilled by his two chef parents.

Harry Jensen
Cellar Hand
After completing school in 2019, Harry pursued his passion for mechanics with a Certificate III in Vehicle Mechanical Technology. He has since applied his skills in the wine industry doing vintage at Yalumba and moving to Team Two Hands in 2024 as our new Cellar Hand. Outside of work, Harry is an avid footy enthusiast, proudly playing for the Nuri Tigers and cheering on Collingwood in the AFL (winning team Two Hands’s tipping comp right out of the gate!). When he’s not on the field, you’ll find him unwinding with camping and fishing trips, with Yorke’s being his favourite getaway spot.

Vanessa Seppelt
Cellar Door Manager
Vanessa grew up in the picturesque Adelaide Hills and moved to the Barossa Valley in 1997. In 2003, she found her way into the wine industry at Murray Street Vineyards, where she played a key role in establishing the cellar door, which opened in 2004. Throughout her career, Vanessa’s roles have been customer-focused, whether working in cellar doors or traveling as a brand ambassador, bringing the winery experience to a wider audience. Outside of work, Vanessa enjoys good food and wine with friends and is an avid dancer, performing regularly with a local dance group throughout the year.

Alex Watt
Vineyard Operator
Alex has been an integral part of the Two Hands team for over eight years, working closely with Peter in our estate vineyards. A diligent and quiet achiever, when he’s not tending to our vineyards, you can find him nurturing his own in Moppa Hills. Alex also cares for the bees behind our Cellar Door here at Marananga, providing the staff with delicious Two Hands honey. Also the main guy making sure that Brutus the Bull and his family have plenty of feed at our Holy Grail Vineyard.

Lara Anne Barmettler
Vineyard Operator
Lara was born in Switzerland but moved to Australia with her parents at the age of 8. She has lived all over Australia but when working in hospitality in Melbourne, she realised she wanted to know more about the wines she was serving and her passion for the industry began. Lara went on to travel back to Switzerland to complete her first vintage before returning back to Australia to study a Bachelor’s Degree in Winemaking from Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga. In her free time, she enjoys fishing, hiking and camping particularly in SA’s Fleurieu region. Her love for the outdoors is also what led to her deciding to make the change and work in viticulture over winemaking.

Brutus and Family
Guardians of the Holy Grail
Our Scottish Highlander Cattle guarding the Holy Grail vineyard on Seppeltsfield Road. A family affair, including both mum and dad, these cows love to meet guests who are joining Two Hands on our Vineyard Experience tours. Growing up as a young boy MT states “I lived for new ‘Asterix’ cartoons, so when my Bull arrived on that fateful day I named him Brutus”. Learn more about our Scottish Highland Clan here.

Chip
Viticultural Manager
Chip! Everyone’s favourite Two Hands pup, 3 year-old Jack Russel x Chihuahua of our Viticulturist Peter. Being a vineyard dog he spends his work days getting up bright and early, putting on his collar and heading out to Holy Grail vineyard to inspect the vines. Team player and moral booster, once back in the office in the afternoon for his nap he greets all staff for a quick pat before heading underneath Peters desk to catch a couple of zzzz’s.

Ollie & Quinn
Four-legged Friends
Ollie is an integral part of the Two Hands family. His antics around the winery directly assisting our production being the right hand of our Chief Winemaker Richard. Quinn is our newest pup at Two Hands! She spends her days busy at our Marananga winery learning the ropes, riding along on the forklift and playing on the Cellar Door lawns.
