With a strong commitment to the philosophy of ‘quality without compromise’, Two Hands Wines use a strict classification process to ensure that only the best barrels each vintage are deemed worthy of being bottled as a Flagship Series wine.
Six months after vintage, a selection of barrels from our best parcels of fruit are carefully assessed by Chief Winemaker Richard Langford, looking for the finest cuvee and given a classification grade associated with its place in the Two Hands portfolio. With this focus on detail, it means only the best barrels make it through and quality is maintained even in the toughest vintages, albeit at lower quantities.
Each year, only a handful of barrels , score an A+ these barrels become our Flagship Series. These ultra-premium wines represent the very finest varietal selections from each vintage.
Each vintage is unique and possesses its own characteristics. Our Flagship Series epitomises this unique signature imparted each year by the various elements that create a great wine.

Spotlight on Ares Shiraz
Shiraz is at the heart of the Two Hands story and our vineyard selections give us access to some of the greatest parcels of Shiraz grapes in the country. Each year, every one of the 1,500 barrels of Shiraz are tasted in the search for the very finest cuvée to represent Ares, the pinnacle of our Shiraz production. The handful of barrels that make it through are matured for 24 months in new and one-year-old French oak, and re-tasted again to ensure only the best make the final blend. A statuesque, powerful and deeply flavoured wine that combines elegance and vivacity.

We are excited to announce a significant shift in our packaging for the Flagship Series. From 2025 we will transition from traditional wooden boxes to a new premium, eco-friendly cardboard packaging. The bespoke boxes are designed to protect the wine during transit while providing an elegant presentation that reflects the quality of the wines inside. Two Hands Wines commitment to environmental sustainability is demonstrated by our membership to the Australian Packaging Covenant, the aim of which is to optimise resource recovery by adopting approaches that make changes in the way we design, use and buy packaging and packaged products so that packaging uses less resources and is more easily recycled.
