When Adrestia was first introduced, it took the form of a Semillon Sauvignon Blanc blend, chosen for its freshness, precision and vibrant energy. As the Flagship Series has evolved, so too has our vision for Adrestia.
The name Adrestia represents balance, restraint and harmony, qualities we now believe are expressed more completely through exceptional Chardonnay. With its ability to combine richness with elegance, power with finesse, and immediate appeal with remarkable longevity, Chardonnay embodies the very essence of the goddess it is named after.
This evolution is not simply a change of variety, but a refinement of purpose. As with every wine in our Flagship Series, we continually challenge ourselves to produce the finest possible expression of its style. Today, Adrestia Chardonnay sits proudly alongside Ares Shiraz, Aphrodite Cabernet Sauvignon and Aerope Grenache as one of the pinnacle wines of the Two Hands portfolio, reflecting our unwavering commitment to quality without compromise.
Scores & Reviews
"What really stands out first in this wine is youthful vitality, considering young age – this wine is taking its time and still has a way to go. The fruit is piquant and lifted – kaffir lime leaf, lanolin and honeydew with subtle barrel spice. It’s delicate and detailed. Bright and juicy, the palate is textural, more citrus fruits and oak making for a wine of substance. There is also understated power and bright acidity which all lead through to a long yet fine finish. It is not quite ready yet but when you do choose to crack one match it up with salmon sushi and sashimi."

Adrestia | Perfect Pairings
Adrestia with its delicate acidity, subtle oak influence matches include seafood like grilled scallops, oysters, and lobster with lemon butter, as the wine’s freshness enhances their natural sweetness and briny character. Poultry dishes such as roast chicken with herbs or grilled turkey also work well, especially when paired with herbaceous sides. Soft cheeses like Brie or goat cheese complement the wine’s citrus and creamy texture, while aged cheddar balances nicely with its acidity. For lighter fare, consider grilled asparagus, herb-infused salads, or a vegetable terrine to echo the wine’s herbaceous and refined profile. Overall, this versatile wine is an excellent companion to dishes that highlight freshness, subtlety, and balanced flavours.
