为什么是苏格兰高地人？
为什么不呢？Two Hands 的老板 Michael Twelftree 一直很喜欢奶牛，所以当有机会养一头牛时，他毫不犹豫地抓住了这个机会。布鲁图斯 (Brutus) 是 MT 童年最喜欢的漫画《阿斯泰利克斯》中的一个角色，他觉得这个名字很适合我们这头粗犷的“毛茸茸的咕咕叫”。
高地牛性情温顺，布鲁图斯和他的夫人们也不例外。不过，它们天生非常保护小牛，在喂食的时候，牛群里难免会有一些争吵。记录显示，高地牛实际上是世界上注册时间最长的品种，有趣的是，一群高地牛并不被称为牛群，而是被称为“牛圈”。我们“五头牛圈”在广阔的围场里自由自在地吃草，过着奢华的生活。人们经常看到布鲁图斯和他的家人在特制的水坝里畅游，或者悠闲地躺着，欣赏着圣杯葡萄园的壮丽景色。
协助我们的葡萄栽培
高地人利用他们的废物以及葡萄收获后 100% 的葡萄汁来帮助我们葡萄园的土壤健康，这两者都为我们每年在葡萄园中添加的 300 吨有机堆肥做出了贡献，以支持我们葡萄藤内的自然平衡。

特殊喂食时间
我们的邻居Seppeltsfield Road Distillers和我们一样重视可持续发展。他们蒸馏自制金酒，剥去一堆橙子皮，利用橙皮。通常他们会榨汁制作糖浆和甜酒，用于调制鸡尾酒，但有时我们的奶牛也会幸运地得到特别的款待！
Cleo and Clementine have moo-ved to Marananaga!
Come and spend a little time with us at Cellar Door and before or after your tasting, wander along our nature trail as it gently traces the top of the Kraehe Block, offering vineyard views and the iconic Seppeltsfield Road palm trees.
The short walk leads down to a viewing platform deck overlooking our paddock, where you can spot Cleo and Clementine grazing with their calves close by. It’s a relaxed, family friendly way to take in the Barossa landscape.
Our Fold
Brutus
Brutus is a handsomely striking young bull, with a near-perfect straight back and terrific feet. Brutus is a Dun colouring, he can have multiple different colours of offspring.
Cleo
Cleo is one of our original highlanders and has been with us for many years. She's also the face of the Single Vineyard Series wine, 2021 Cleo's Block Shiraz
Clementine
Clementine is the older sister of Cleo and the boss of everyone but Brutus. She has the larger set of horns and they are much more rounded than her sister.
Patty
Patty is one of our new heifers, bought in 2024 to be a new young girlfriend for Brutus and help with Clem and Cleo being able to retire to our Marananga property.
Selma
Selma is the sister of Patty (both named after the Simpson sisters). Both her and Patty are super friendly young highlanders and love guests visiting them on vineyard tours.
Babies!
Every Spring Brutus gifts us 4 new babies, the fun of arriving to Holy Grail vineyard to find a new calf doesn't wear off. We sell our offspring to other farms every season.
FAQs
Are your cows at Cellar Door when I visit?
The main fold including our bull Brutus live at our vineyard which is private property. However, Cleo and Clementine now live next to Cellar Door here in Marananga. You can come visit them and their babies after doing a tasting with our team.
Can I pat your Highland Cows?
No Sorry, Cleo and Clem can be seen via our new walking trail and viewing platform. No feeding or touching them will be possible.
Do you sell them?
Our Highlanders are pets to us! They live the high life and contribute to the vineyard eco system.
We do sell Brutus' offspring off every year to different farmers. Or keep one here and there!
