Two Hands Bella’s Garden Shiraz is a sumptuous Barossa Valley Shiraz, blended from our finest barrels sourced across the region. Part of the much-loved Garden Series, Bella’s Garden showcases the depth, richness and aromatic complexity that have made Barossa Shiraz one of Australia’s most celebrated red wine styles.

This wine is defined by finesse, concentration and generosity, with fruit predominantly grown in the red-brown earth of the Barossa’s western ranges. These lower-yielding soils naturally create intense flavour, masculine tannins and richness through the palate, producing a Shiraz with both power and elegance.

In the glass, Bella’s Garden offers layers of dark fruit, plum, spice, chocolate and savoury oak, balanced by structure, length and finesse. The label’s colour reflects the red soils of the western Barossa ranges, home to some of the finest Two Hands vineyards and the heart of this remarkable Shiraz, crafted with our quality without compromise approach.

Tasting Notes

COLOUR | Bright crimson with black core.

AROMA | Dark chocolate, berries, raspberry, hints of eucalypt, sage, black pepper, clove, violet, vanilla and liquorice.

PALATE | The fruit gracefully unfolds on the palate, revealing the Barossa Valley’s signature textural brilliance as it transitions from robust, pure flavours to a long, velvety finish. This young wine displays remarkable poise, with clean and pristine aromatics.
The texture gradually reveals itself, culminating in a late palate that showcases wonderfully soft tannins that linger like a gentle whisper. There’s so much to appreciate here—this is Barossa Valley purity at its finest: precise, persistent, and well-defined. This 2022 vintage promises longevity, while it can be enjoyed now, its true potential will unfold with time in a cool cellar.

The Growing Season

After our second La Niña year in a row, the vineyards received an above average winter rainfall, we then progressed into a very mild spring and an equally mild summer with only one day recorded over 40°C. Due to slightly later flowering, the vines were set up to mature at a slower than usual pace, this put the start of vintage back around 3 weeks on average, these mild ripening conditions allowed for slower than usual favour development, this matched with lower yield across the board has resulted in another quality harvest.

Vinification

WINEMAKING | Fermented in five to ten tonne open top fermenters, with regular pump overs (twice daily over entire ferment) to control ferment, extract colour, flavour and tannins.

Average time ‘on skins’ was 10 days before the fermented juice was drained to tank and the pressings combined. The wine was then racked to barrel, where malolactic fermentation took place.
Bella’s Garden was bottled unfined and unfiltered.

MATURATION | Aged for 16 months in 2-4 year old French oak hogsheads, with up to 20% new French oak.

"A barrel selection from Two Hands Barossa Valley shiraz vineyards. The Bella's Garden has always been about fruit density for me. Thick-shouldered plum and blackberry fruits dabbed with baking spice, roasting meats, citrus blossom, olive tapenade, dark-chocolate-dipped cherries and earth. Plush and pure with fine, sandy tannins and a crème de cassis-like unctuousness to the finale. It's consistently a cracking wine."
