New Releases: The 2024 Picture Series

Fresh from the cellar and ready to take their place on dinner tables, we’re excited to release the latest vintages of three Two Hands favourites. Gnarly Dudes Shiraz, Angels' Share Shiraz and Sexy Beast Cabernet Sauvignon.

All part of our Picture Series, each label tells its own story, with Don Brice’s artwork as recognisable as the wines themselves, and each name reflecting a piece of the character, humour and philosophy that underpins what we do. They are approachable, expressive and full of personality. Often the first introduction to Two Hands, but just as often the wines people return to year after year.

2024 Gnarly Dudes Shiraz
Barossa Valley

Gnarly Dudes continues to be everything you want from a Barossa Shiraz. Named after the old, twisted Barossa vines and 'The Dude' himself The Big Lebowski. The 2024 vintage shows layers of blackberry, plum and dark chocolate, with spice and savoury notes building through the palate. Plush and vibrant, with a long, even finish, it’s a wine that drinks beautifully now but will reward time in the cellar.

2024 Angel’s Share Shiraz
McLaren Vale
Named for the portion of wine that evaporates from barrel during maturation, Angels' Share is our nod to the magic that happens quietly over time in the winery. From McLaren Vale, the 2024 release leans into a more plush and savoury expression of Shiraz. Dark berries, plum and raspberry layered with subtle earthiness, spice and gentle oak influence. The palate is silky and rounded, with a softness that carries through to a long, balanced finish.

2024 Sexy Beast Cabernet Sauvignon
McLaren Vale

Cabernet Sauvignon thrives in McLaren Vale’s Mediterranean climate, and Sexy Beast is our take on a variety that is both structured and generous in equal measure. The name is a nod to the cult 2000 film Sexy Beast, starring Sir Ben Kingsley and Ray Winstone. Much like the film, the wine balances intensity with charm, bold, structured and a little bit dangerous, but ultimately smooth and compelling. The 2024 vintage delivers classic Cabernet character. Dark currants, cherry and spice lead the way, with layers of cassis, floral notes and savoury detail adding complexity. The tannins are broad yet balanced, giving the wine both immediate drinkability and the ability to evolve over time.

2024 Vintage

The 2024 vintage was defined by a cooler, drier growing season and a slow, even ripening period, resulting in wines of balance, freshness and precision.

Barossa Shiraz is a standout, showing depth and structure despite reduced yields. The cooler conditions have delivered wines with dark chocolate and stone fruit characters, alongside blue fruits and savoury notes, all supported by fine, talcy tannins and impressive length.

In McLaren Vale, a later start and mild ripening conditions allowed for extended hang time, producing Shiraz with vibrant primary fruit and supple, approachable tannins. The region’s Cabernet Sauvignon was a highlight of the vintage, offering classic cassis and berry fruit with excellent structure and mouthwatering tannins.
