Season of Shiraz | A Winter Walk & Wine Experience
May 26, 2026
As the seasons change across the Barossa and the vineyards settle into winter, there has never been a better time to 'slow down' in Marananga and experience a different side of Two Hands Wines.
Nestled beside our Cellar Door, the recently completed Kraehe Nature Trail invites guests to immerse themselves in the landscape that surrounds us.
The Kraehe Nature Trail was created by our team to offer visitors something more than just a wine tasting. Winding gently through newly planted natives and views of our vineyard, the trail begins directly from our Cellar Door before leading guests through the upper section of our Kraehe House Block vineyard. Along the way, visitors can take in sweeping views across the Seppeltsfield Road palms and pause to enjoy the quieter pace that winter brings to the region.

The trail was created for everyone who has fallen in love with our Highlanders, and the many people over the years who have visited Cellar Door asking if they can see them. The trail is designed as a self-guided experience, with a series of informative signs positioned along the path. These share insights into the Cellar Door history, sustainability practices and our Shiraz.
Environmental care has been central to the project. Over the winter months last year, the team planted more than 250 native plants along the trail, which are now beginning to establish and thrive, enhancing biodiversity and adding seasonal interest to the landscape.
With the main highlight is reaching the viewing platform overlooking our resident Scottish Highland cows, Cleo and Clementine at the bottom of the block.

While the Nature Trail is open for all guests visiting the Cellar Door to enjoy independently, we are also excited to introduce a brand new hosted winter experience designed especially for the cooler months.
A New Winter Experience at Two Hands
Starting June 1st and running until the 31st of August 2026
This winter, we invite guests to a hosted tasting experience centred around nature, wine and warmth.
The experience begins with a guided walk by one of the Cellar Door team members along the Kraehe Nature Trail. Along the way, guests will hear the story of the property, learn more about the vineyards in winter and meet our resident Highlanders before returning to the warmth of the Cellar Door.
Awaiting guests is the reserved table beside the fireplace, where a hosted tasting of six premium wines will be served. The tasting includes Bella’s Garden and Lily’s Garden Shiraz, our Single Vineyard Cleo’s Block Shiraz, one museum wine, Ares Shiraz and finishes with our Fortified Muscat, perfectly suited to winter. A locally sourced cheese plate accompanies the tasting, with guests also invited to explore our Bakehouse Museum cellar as part of the experience.

Limited to just four guests at a time, the experience has been intentionally designed to feel personal, relaxed and immersive, offering a slower and more thoughtful way to experience Two Hands during winter.
